About CTLD

 

The university’s strength is measured by its faculty members’ potential, effectiveness and excellence. Each university spends generously on new buildings, with comfort element and state of the art equipment, all counted to be essential in promoting the educational process. While in reality the key element of any university’s strength lies in the educational process itself, where the faculty members are the key factors. Thus their performance is vital. And in order to reach a level of effectiveness and excellence they need to be up-to-date with the rapid informational and technological changes worldwide, using these changes in order to improve and develop their educational and research performance, for the benefit of both students and community alike.


Thus; King Abdel Aziz University established in 1407H (1987G) the Center for Teaching & Learning Development (CTLD), to be one of its specialized Centers. CTLD provides its services to faculty members and student alike. It offers knowledge and skills development programs that shall help them perform their functions successfully. As well as ensuring the development of educational process, and the achievement of its objectives.


The CTLD extends communication paths with similar centers and concerned bodies within and outside the country. It is currently in contact with Education Development Centers in a number of North American universities, British universities and Arab universities. As well as some concerned Arab organizations and educational bodies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
