The preparatory program for teaching assistants, lecturers and joint-supervision students

Vision:
Prepare and train teaching assistants and lecturers who are going to enroll in the joint-supervision program for postgraduate studies, or provide them with the required skills they need for their graduate studies to conduct scientific research and achieve their ambitions of helping advance their areas of study through their scientific research works that are related to the fields of knowledge needed by King Abdulaziz University.

Mission:
Support research and language skills needed for the students of the joint- supervision program and for those on scholarships to complete their graduate studies and to follow up developments in the field of scientific research.

Importance of the program:
It is a training program which includes a number of courses aiming to develop the graduate studies skills of the KAU-Jeddah teaching assistants and lecturers from all the scientific and literary disciplines with the help of competencies in the fields of science and knowledge. The importance of the program lies in its being the only tributary available for students who wish to enroll in the joint-supervision program to help cover their scientific and research needs and increase their chances for getting accepted into universities overseas to complete their graduate studies.

General objectives of the programs:
- Contribute to improve the level of the female students enrolled in the program by strengthening the various research skills.
- Prepare and train the enrolled students in the areas of knowledge that are necessary to help them pursue their graduate studies.
- Keep pace with advances in knowledge and technology to present the program at a high educational level, and in particular to prepare for post-graduate studies.
Specific objectives of the program:
   - Strengthen the English language skills in speaking and writing
   - Strengthen scientific/academic writing skills.
   -Strengthen the various scientific research skills and methods.

Target Group
Teaching Assistants, lecturers and joint supervision program students of all the scientific and literary disciplines.
